Survey Spotter Review – Scam Or Legit?

The homepage for Survey Spotter

Welcome to my Survey Spotter review.

Surveys come in a lot of forms. Your favorite game or app has probably given you a prompt to answer a quick survey. It isn’t bad to provide feedback on the new features they have if you’ve been enjoying it. Most of the time, they encourage users to give criticism. That way, the developers can improve upon their apps based on those feedback.

For the most part, surveys are pretty harmless. It doesn’t ask you to give specific details about yourself. Just general demographic questions that are usually given ranges depending on the question. And it doesn’t take up much of your time. Sometimes it only takes around 10 minutes to complete a survey.

I participated in an online survey a few years ago just for fun. The survey offered a $5 gift card as a reward. Surprisingly, I received the gift card. So when I heard that there were websites that helped you earn money for answering surveys, I was intrigued. I had one positive experience with one survey. Why shouldn’t I take the risk? It couldn’t hurt.

So I did a bit of searching online and came across Survey Spotter. You are immediately welcomed with a heading that says “Earn up to £300 or £20* per survey in your spare time.” It doesn’t sound like a bad deal. Though I was curious why there was an asterisk after £20. On the bottom, it says that the average payout for each survey is £3. Still not bad.

There have been a lot of websites, or even apps like Money Well, that reward you for completing offers. Some of them actually work and some of them don’t. So if you’re still on the fence on whether this is legit or not. I’ve got your back.

What Is Survey Spotter?

Survey Spotter is a website where it can help you earn rewards for answering surveys. The website mainly acts as a third party for a bunch of survey panel websites. You can choose which survey panels you want to participate in. But you can earn upwards of £300 if you choose to participate in all of them.

How Survey Spotter Works

When you go to the website, you are immediately welcomed by the sign up sheet. You must provide details such as your gender identity, birthdate, name and email address in order to proceed. After completing the sign up sheet, you will be redirected the Offers page. You will be shown the different survey panel companies looking for participants based on your gender identity and age. You can select any that you want to participate in or all of them in order to earn more.

If you selected to participate in all of them, you will probably receive a prompt to provide the postal code for your area. Since most of the survey panel companies are based in the UK, you will need to input a valid UK postal code. So if you’re from anywhere else, you are likely to not be qualified for any of the rewards.

Survey Spotter location prompt

Though it is a bummer that Survey Spotter mainly caters to residents of the UK, it is understandable. Some of the survey panels companies will require you to provide your address and a valid UK bank account in order to redeem your rewards. It would be difficult on your part to try and an acquire an account there especially if your miles away.

If you do live in the UK, congratulations. You are one step closer to earning money. Once you have selected which survey panels you’re going to participate in, you will receive an email to confirm your account. I tested out Pureprofile and I managed to earn £0.60 from answering two surveys. It will take a while before you actually see the fruits of your labor. But the survey panels will notify you if you qualify for any new surveys. Though it may not be as frequent as you hoped.

Is Survey Spotter Legit? Does It Pay?

Since Survey Spotter is mainly an aggregate website, it will not be the one who will directly pay you. Instead, the survey panels companies you select will be the ones in charge of rewarding you. I mainly used Pureprofile because I didn’t want to get bombarded with so many emails. And it was the first website they listed in the offers. Like I said, I managed to earn £0.60. It doesn’t sound lot like a lot, I know. I wasn’t expecting to earn a lot from answering surveys. So my expectations were pretty much met. But it are expecting to earn either the average payout of £3 or even £20, it will probably take a while.

Some of the survey panels require you to reach a minimum threshold before you can cash out your earnings. In the case of Pureprofile, I had to reach £10 to exchange it for a gift card. And about £20 to go to my bank account. You will need to answer a lot of surveys in order to reach it. And not all surveys reward the same amount when you complete them.
